Veterinary Radiology

Radiography and ultrasound are valuable diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine. As we continually strive to offer the highest quality medicine and diagnostic testing, we are pleased to offer digital radiology services as a means of providing excellent care to our patients.
A radiograph, or X-ray, is a type of diagnostic imaging, which allows us to view the internal bones and organs of your pet. Many pet diseases alter the size, shape, or position of internal organs, and radiographs are a vital diagnostic tool in the identification of conditions such as:
- Broken bones
- Bladder stones
- Foreign bodies
- Chronic arthritis
ULTRASONOGRAPHY
Ultrasonography allows the internal organs of your pet to be examined. It can also identify abnormalities in organ function because it shows movement.
Ultrasound can be used to detect and diagnose:
- Pregnancy
- Lung blockages
- Blood flow and heart issues
- Tumors/masses
- Bladder, kidney, liver, and spleen issues
Radiography and ultrasound are safe, painless, and completely noninvasive. Due to the low level of radiation exposure needed, even pregnant females and very young pets can be imaged.
